60mins about Running

Long distance running has been one of the most popular sports in Hong Kong. To provide further insights on running, 4 sessions of “60mins about Running” seminars will be held from athletes’, medical and sports science perspectives by inviting professionals from different fields as Guest Speakers.

Run Safe

  • Dos and Don’ts for maintaining heart health
  • Emergency for sudden health issue

Session Two

Injuries and Recovery

Date: 3 June 2017

Time: 1600 – 1715

Guest Speaker: Mr. Damon Mok (Former Physiotherapist of China National Team, Registered Physiotherapist & Physical Rehabilitation Trainer)

Content includes:

  • Understanding injuries
  • Recovery and rehabilitation methods and precautions
  • Case sharing

Session Three

Train with Elite Marathoner

Date: 4 June 2017

Time: 1200 – 1315

Guest Speaker: Miss Yiu Kit Ching (Marathon Representative at Rio 2016 Olympic Games)

Session Four

Cause of Relapse

Date: 4 June 2017

Time: 1600 – 1715

Guest Speaker: Mr. Alain Chu (Registered Physiotherapist, Master in Exercise and Sports Science in Sydney University; Well known in sports community as “Needleman” for his professionalism in acupuncture.)

Content includes:

  • Understanding cause of relapse
  • Treatment for relapse
